About the Role
The Project Designer is responsible for contributions to drawing sets including Schematic Designs, Working Drawing Sets and materials specifications with guidance from the senior associate. The Designer coordinates project design, develops creative-design concepts for projects, and prepares presentation and design drawings. Works independently on architectural design projects and often coordinates project design efforts. Develops planning and creative-design concepts for projects.
On a daily basis you may be required to interact with the various trades and vendors associated with a project. This may include contractors, product suppliers, property managers and owners, engineers and consultants to list a few. Other duties may include field surveys and existing conditions drawings, details and design studies, product critiques and finish selection.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Architecture.
Minimum 3 - 5 years of developing building design at an architecrural firm.
Licensed architect preferred, but not required.
Experience working on multiple project types.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written.)
Is attuned to areas of structural, mechanical, electrical and site requirements.
Proficient in AutoCad and Sketch-Up.
Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel and Outlook.
Be passionate about architecture and the type of work the firm does; and participate in the achievement of the firm’s strategic and professional goals.
Perform other duties as assigned.
